Yamazaki Mazak has recently introduced two machining centers (MC) that have reduced the set-up area by improved control methods, namely the vertical model "UN-600/30V" and the horizontal model "UN-600/ 30H". The person in charge of the company said that in the mass production of automotive parts, the use of these two machining centers can build a highly efficient production line.
In the two models, the 30V has a width of 695 × 3365 × 2727mm, and 30H is 990 × 3265 × 2930mm. The former adopts a polar coordinate control method that synchronizes the rotation of the table (C axis) with the movement of the spindle back and forth (Y axis). The latter uses a relative control method in which the main shaft (U-axis) is moved in the opposite direction while being synchronized with the table (X-axis), and the distance is doubled by the two-axis movement, thereby reducing the width of the device.
Both models have improved spindle output power characteristics, and the non-cutting time is shorter than previous models. The spindle acceleration/deceleration time is 0.44 seconds at 0 to 20,000 rpm, and the previous model is 0.55 seconds. In terms of axis feed acceleration and deceleration, the Y axis of 30V is 1.6G, the Z axis is 1.8G; the X axis of 30H is 2.0G, the Y axis is 1.5G, and the Z axis is 2.0G.
In addition, the dust-proof standard linear guide and ball screw have been newly adopted, and the processing chamber has been sealed to improve chipping resistance. Moreover, in order to simplify maintenance and adjustment work, the mechanical construction has also been improved. The position of the lubricating oil, oil pressure and pneumatic device was changed. The 30V was centrally placed on the back of the machine, and the 30H was centrally disposed to the side. At the same time, the protective cover was removed, thereby reducing the trouble of daily maintenance.
