Excavator hydraulic crushing pliers installation operation guide

Installing a crusher clamp on an excavator is a fairly common task, but there are important steps you should take beforehand to avoid potential issues. You probably already know that any impurities or dirt inside the breaker’s pipelines can easily find their way into the crusher clamp. The precision components like pistons, oil cylinders, and reversing valves in the crusher clamp are designed with tight tolerances. Once contaminants infiltrate these parts, they can quickly lead to damage or malfunction. To prepare for installation, here’s a detailed guide: Firstly, after connecting the breaker hammer's pipelines, shut off the valves located on either side of the boom. Next, have the excavator operator start the machine, keeping the accelerator at mid-level. Step on the breaker hammer's control pedal in the cabin and hold it for about a minute, then release it for another minute. Repeat this process in intervals for roughly 3 to 5 minutes. During this time, use a wrench to slowly open the oil inlet valve on the boom. Stand behind the valve to protect yourself from high-pressure oil spray. As the dirty oil flushes out, don't panic—this is normal. Observe until the hydraulic oil becomes clear. Afterward, close the valve and repeat the same procedure for the return valve on the other side. If the oil remains unclear, restart the excavator and repeat the process. Continue until the oil runs clear. Secondly, after the initial flushing, move on to a more thorough cleaning phase. Connect the breaker hose provided by the manufacturer between the oil lines at both ends of the boom. With the excavator running and the accelerator still at mid-level, press the breaker pedal intermittently—on for a minute, off for 5 seconds—for about 3 to 5 minutes. Then close both shut-off valves. This ensures all remaining debris is flushed out. After draining the oil, the excavator’s filtration system will catch most of the impurities, leaving the lines relatively clean. Finally, install the two-way pedal valve and proceed with the next steps. Lastly, attach the breaker hammer's oil lines to the excavator. Before using the crusher clamp, double-check that the hydraulic pressure in the breaker hammer lines matches the specifications for your chosen crusher model. Apply grease to the grease fitting on the lower cylinder. For optimal maintenance, hammer for about 2-3 hours daily, applying grease every few hours, and give the grease gun 15 pumps each time. Remember, proper preparation prevents future headaches. Follow these steps carefully to ensure smooth operation and longevity of your equipment.
