Led energy-saving lamp development history

Industrial lighting technology is playing a pivotal role in driving both the IT and bio-revolutions, with LED technology at the forefront as both a leader and a supporter. (Emphasis on LED) There are four images available showcasing different aspects of this technology. LED represents the new light of the 21st century, experiencing rapid development in both application and research. South Korea and East Asia are global leaders in LED technology, commanding approximately 70% of the worldwide market share. This surge in LED technology is set to mark the second major revolution in human lighting history, following closely after the advent of electric lighting over a century ago. In the next five years, LED technology is expected to gradually replace traditional white incandescent, fluorescent, and halogen lamps. By 2010, LED lights had already captured 16% of the global lighting market. Looking back at the evolution of lighting: - 1879: Edison invents the electric light. - 1959: Halogen lamps enter the scene. - 1961: High-pressure sodium lamps debut. - 1962: Metal halide lamps come into existence. - 1969: The first LED light (red) is introduced. - 1976: Green LED lights make their appearance. - 1983: Fluorescent lights gain popularity. - 1993: Blue LED lights are developed. - 1999: White LED lights are created. - 2000: LED lights are used for indoor illumination. The advancement of LED technology marks the second significant revolution in lighting since the invention of white incandescent lighting 120 years ago. At the dawn of the 21st century, LEDs, born from the intersection of nature, humanity, and science, represent a transformative innovation in the lighting world—a green technological revolution essential to modern society. LED represents a reinvention of the lighting revolution since Edison’s original light bulb. Energy-saving LED fixtures, including 19 images showcasing various designs, are now widely available. Current high-power white LED single lamps are guaranteed for three years, delivering at least 100 lumens per watt for larger models and at least 110 lumens per watt for smaller ones. The annual light decay rate is less than 3% for both types. LED solar street lights, floodlights, ceiling lights, and fluorescent lamps are all in mass production. For instance, a 10-watt LED fluorescent lamp can replace a standard 40-watt fluorescent or energy-saving lamp. Although LED energy-saving lamps have begun to enter households, they are still not fully mainstream.
