First, Architectural Glass

1. Construction Laminated Glass

Currently, there are two main types of laminated glass used in construction: wet lamination and dry lamination. Wet lamination is a traditional method that involves using glue to bond the layers. Dry lamination, on the other hand, typically uses EVA or PVB films. While both methods have their own advantages, they also come with limitations.

Wet-laminated glass tends to lack sufficient strength and may not provide the desired safety performance. Additionally, it can suffer from issues like yellowing, delamination, and bubble formation, which have led to its decline in popularity. PVB film lamination offers better strength but requires expensive equipment such as a roller press and autoclave, making it less accessible for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In contrast, EVA film lamination is more cost-effective, easier to process, and produces high-quality glass without the common defects seen in older methods. As a result, EVA-laminated glass is gradually becoming the preferred choice in the construction industry.

2. Curved Laminated Glass

Curved laminated glass is commonly used in curtain walls, exterior windows, columns, and spiral stairs. The market currently offers two main types: hot-bent laminated glass and bent steel laminated glass. Traditionally, PVB film was used for bending, but this process is complicated and costly due to the need for silica gel strips and extended curing times in an autoclave. This has made PVB less favorable for architectural applications.

EVA film, however, simplifies the process, allowing curved laminated glass to be produced in a way similar to flat lamination. This has made EVA-based curved glass increasingly popular among manufacturers, especially for large-scale projects where cost efficiency is essential.

3. Bulletproof Glass

Bulletproof glass is primarily used in bank counters and other high-security areas. It can be manufactured using wet lamination, EVA film, or PVB film. All three methods are approved for production, but EVA film is often considered superior in terms of safety and ease of processing, making it a preferred option in the market.

Second, Art Glass

1. Patterned Glass

Patterned glass, originally from South Korea, gained attention after its debut at an exhibition in Shanghai in May 2009. Its unique design and aesthetic appeal have made it popular in high-end markets across major cities.

2. Wire Cloth Glass

Wire cloth glass features a fabric-like texture created by sandwiching a silk cloth between two pieces of glass. This type of glass is often used in bedroom partitions to add both beauty and safety. Due to the risk of bubbles when using wet methods, wire cloth glass is typically made with EVA film, offering a reliable and aesthetically pleasing solution.

3. Colored Laminated Glass

Colored laminated glass replaces traditional painted glass with a more vibrant and durable alternative. It is made by sandwiching colored films between two glass panes and is widely used in KTV floors, hotel interiors, and luxury decor projects.

4. Coffee Table Glass

Coffee table glass, originating from Shandong, is known for its elegant appearance and affordability. It is made by inserting amber or marbled materials between two glass sheets, creating a visually appealing piece that is well-received in the market.

5. Tempered Glass

Tempered glass features a reinforced layer bonded to the surface, enhancing both its durability and aesthetics. Its simple manufacturing process allows for a variety of patterns, making it a popular choice for various interior applications.

6. Closet Door Glass

Closet door glass combines glass with MDF using a bonding film, offering a stylish and safe option for storage solutions. Using 2mm–3mm tempered glass improves the overall quality and visual appeal.

7. Marble Laminated Glass

Marble laminated glass features natural marble sandwiched between two glass panels. Under different lighting conditions, it displays a range of colors, making it ideal for high-end spaces. With a high profit margin, it has become a favorite among discerning customers.

1. Solar Photovoltaic Panels

Solar panels are typically made using silicon crystal plates and circuit boards. Although laminating machines were once common, they are now being replaced by more efficient EVA laminated glass technology, which offers higher output and lower costs.

2. Conductive Glass

Conductive glass consists of two glass layers with a conductive plate in between. It can be controlled via AC power and is often used in high-end electronics and automotive industries.

3. LED Glass

LED glass integrates LED boards between two glass panes, allowing it to display signals when powered. It is widely used in aviation, including in aircraft like those operated by Southern Airlines.

4. Electric Glass

Electric glass contains heating wires and films between two glass layers, commonly used in train windows to prevent frost and improve visibility while ensuring passenger safety.
