AVIC's new marine titanium alloy standard parts passed the process review

On June 16, the AVIC 6-brand shipbuilding titanium alloy standard parts localization project successfully underwent a joint technical review conducted by the Institute of Metal Research, the primary user unit, and the design unit from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. This milestone marks six years of intensive research and development. The newly developed process plan and summary for marine titanium alloy standard parts have received formal approval to proceed with physical product production. Marine titanium alloy standard parts are characterized by their large size, high clamping force, and strong shear resistance. They also require exceptional corrosion resistance, surpassing the technical standards typically applied to aviation fasteners. As the leading research institution in China for new marine titanium alloys, the 18 marine titanium alloy products approved by the aviation standard company reflect long-term advancements in aviation titanium alloy standard parts, as well as the phased achievements in domestic titanium alloy material processing. During the process evaluation meeting held in Guiyang on June 16th for domestic titanium alloy marine standard parts, the review panel listened to the navigation mark company's report on the new work process plan and process summary. They thoroughly reviewed all development documentation, including processing and inspection records. At the site, the team unanimously agreed that the process plan for the six standard domestic titanium alloy materials used in marine standard parts met all requirements, and production of the actual components could now begin.
