The main PU acid market price dropped sharply from 10,500 to 10,800 yuan per ton, a steep decrease of 1,500 to 2,200 yuan per ton compared to last week. Previously, prices ranged between 12,000 and 12,500 yuan per ton, marking a sharp reduction of 2,500 yuan per ton from the prior week. The trading environment in the South China acrylic acid market was equally subdued, with dealers holding high inventories. Prices continued their downward spiral, with the main PU raw material price ranging between 12,500 and 12,800 yuan per ton, a drop of 500 to 1,200 yuan per ton compared to the previous week. In North China, the acrylic market showed signs of contraction. Spot supplies were ample, but trading volumes had contracted dramatically. Dealers were forced to offer lower prices, with the main acid market quoted at 10,500 to 10,800 yuan per ton, a drop of 1,500 to 2,200 yuan per ton from the previous week. Market analysts noted that weak raw material support, coupled with significant inventory pressures from manufacturers, continued to drive prices down. Downstream buyers exhibited little enthusiasm, and the market sentiment was characterized by negotiation rather than active buying.
