Recently, a Japanese paper company has made a breakthrough by developing an innovative technology that dissolves waste paper in phenol to create high-quality phenolic resin. This advancement could significantly impact the recycling industry and reduce reliance on traditional raw materials. According to experts from the Chinese Phenolic Resin Network, phenolic resin is widely used in everyday products such as electrical outlets, furniture handles, and decorative items. Traditionally, old newspapers have been a common source for producing this material. However, using office waste paper as a substitute offers a more cost-effective solution, with production costs being only about half of those associated with old newspapers. This shift not only lowers expenses but also promotes the use of more readily available waste materials, contributing to a greener and more sustainable manufacturing process.
