aBS resin is a blend of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer, English name acrylonitrile-butadine-styrene (abbreviated as aBS), the ratio of these three is 20:30:50 (melting point is 175 °C) ). As long as the ratio of the three, the method of compounding, and the size of the particles are changed, a series of varieties with different impact strength and activity characteristics can be produced. If the composition of butadiene is increased, the impact strength will be improved, but the hardness will be improved. And activity will be reduced, and strength and heat resistance will be reduced.

aBS is a kind of resin with good comprehensive performance. It is non-toxic and slightly yellow. It has high impact strength in a wide temperature range. The heat distortion temperature is higher than Pa and PVC. The dimensional stability is good and the shrinkage rate is 0.4%. Within the range of ~0.8%, if it is reinforced by glass fiber, it can be reduced to 0.2%~0.4%, and there is little shrinkage after plastic.

aBS has good moldability, high surface finish, good paintability and dyeability, and can be plated into a variety of brilliance.

aBS still has good compatibility and can be compounded with various resins into alloys (blends) such as PC/aBS, aBS/PC, aBS/PVC, Pa/aBS, PBT/aBS, etc., making it new. For performance and new application areas, aBS can be made into transparent aBS if it is blended with MMA, and the light transmittance can reach 80%.

Chemical and physical properties

POM is a tough, resilient material that retains excellent creep resistance, geometric stability and impact resistance even at low temperatures. POM has both homopolymer materials and copolymer materials. The homopolymer material has good ductility and fatigue resistance but is not easy to process. The copolymer material has good thermal stability, chemical stability and is easy to process. Whether a homopolymer material or a copolymer material, it is a crystalline material and does not easily absorb moisture.

The high degree of crystallization of POM results in a relatively high shrinkage rate of up to 2% to 3.5%. There are different shrinkage rates for a variety of different reinforced materials.

POM has a very low coefficient of friction and good geometric stability, making it ideal for gears and bearings. Because it also has high temperature resistance, it is also used in pipeline devices (pipe valves, pump housings), lawn equipment, etc.
