Rare earth ordered production planning management measures introduced

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the Interim Measures for the Administration of Rare Earth Predictive Production Plans. The “Provisional Measures” proposes to strengthen the cleanup of unplanned production enterprises, resolutely close the enterprises that violate the law and regulations, prohibit unplanned enterprises from engaging in rare earth production, and cooperate with the departments of land, the environment, industry and commerce, taxation, and safety supervision to punish them according to law. According to the "Interim Measures," the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will, based on the needs of domestic and foreign markets and the implementation of the plan for the current year, discuss with the relevant departments the plan for the next year's rare earth extraction, production and export, and report to the State Council for approval to take the lead in organizing and implementing the mandatory production plan. .
