In order to make full use of hydropower, wind power, and nuclear power resources to ease the peak load adjustment of the Fujian power grid and ensure the safe and stable operation and delivery of nuclear power plants, the State Grid Corporation of China is accelerating the UHV networking project between Fujian and East China. In conjunction with the commissioning of the second unit of Ningde Nuclear Power in 2013, the provincial power company will build a 500 kV second channel along the coast to meet the demand for Ningde nuclear power transmission to southern Fujian.
