Vietnam's exports of plastic products reached US$700 million in September

Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade recently stated that from January to September, Vietnam’s monthly export volume of plastic products was nearly 80 million U.S. dollars. The cumulative export volume for the first nine months was about 700 million U.S. dollars, and this year is expected to exceed 1 billion U.S. dollars. The United States, Japan, Cambodia, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Taiwan, Malaysia and the Philippines are the 10 major export markets for plastic products in Vietnam.

At present, the main plastic products produced in Vietnam are: packaging products, construction materials, electronic equipment, automobile and motorcycle parts, post and telecommunications accessories, and transportation and transportation supplies. Among them, the export volume of packaging products is the largest. Vietnam's plastic products have a certain competitive advantage in the world market, but the biggest problem is the lack of raw materials. At present, the annual output of plastic raw materials in Vietnam is about 450,000 tons, which can only meet the domestic 20% production demand.
