Our active zinc oxides are particularly well suited to the rubber industry's specific needs.
Silox's wet chemical process yields a high specific surface (BET 40-50 m2/g), which gives our products exceptional performance as vulcanisation activators.
This high performance enables the industry to reduce the amount of zinc oxide in its rubber compounds (observed decreases of from 40 to 70%, depending on the application), thereby reducing costs and heavy metal concentrations commensurately.
What is more, our active zinc oxides have high bioavailability. This enhances their performance in applications in life science-related fields (personal care, zinc-enriched fertilisers, and advanced animal feeds).
Use: Accelerator activator, pigment, and reinforcing agent in rubber; ointment; pigment and mold growth inhibitor in paints; ceramics; floor tile; glass; zinc salts (zinc stearate etc.) feed additive; semi-conductor in electronic devices; electronic ceramics, raw material to produce zinc phosphate as steel coating.
Storage: Store at a cool and dry place.
Packing: 25Kg woven bags lined with plastic bag(special packing can be made according to clients' requirement).


Advantage for Active Zinc Oxide
It has a much lower content of heavy metals.
It is very suitable for transparent or translucent rubber products and those with a low zinc oxide content.
The super-fine particles of the product will disperse easily in the rubber. The 
dosage is smaller than ordinary (French process) zinc oxide powders.
A large dosage of the product can serve as the anti-softening agent, preventing rubber materials from being transformed easily. It also can be used as the filler for light-colored rubber.
The tear resistance, tensile coefficient, and wear resistance of rubber products are all higher.
 The range of vulcanization is larger, greatly reducing the danger of insufficient or excessive vulcanization.
 Its content of heavy metals meets the strict standards of fodder additives, and the quality is excellent (refer to the attached table).
Strict quality control allows the zinc oxide content of the finished product to reach the upper limit in that activity level (higher than the products of the same level available on the market), leading to the best condition of vulcanization, and offering the user the highest economic efficiency and quality.
The features of active zinc oxide include smaller particle size than ordinary zinc oxide , lower content of impurities, and larger relative surface area. 
It can be applied as the rubber activators, EVA and mineral additive of feed.
